Quicksilver is a Cosmos SDK zone that offers a liquid staking feature, enabling delegators to stake their assets without sacrificing their liquidity. The protocol allows users to stake assets against any validator running on IBC-enabled chains, and in return, they receive derivative vouchers that represent their staking positions. These vouchers are known as qAssets.

The qAssets tokens can then be used in DeFi protocols, increasing liquidity and capital efficiency for users. Through Quicksilver, users can delegate to any validator of their choosing while retaining their voting rights through the Governance by Proxy feature. This liquid staking solution scales to all validators across the IBC-connected chain network while preserving users’ governance rights.

The goal of liquid staking is to allow users to seek out the best possible returns for their staked assets while still contributing to network security. Quicksilver’s liquid staking feature provides a user-friendly experience while maintaining chain security and decentralization, empowering users to make informed decisions about their assets.
